Amanda Parashar

Morah Amanda received her Bachelor's Degree in Sociology with a minor in Children's Literature from the University of Pittsburgh in 2004. She went on to study education and received her Master of Arts in Teaching from the University of Pennsylvania. Before joining Kohelet, she taught middle school in the School District of Philadelphia for seven years. After that, she worked as an Apple Education Specialist, training teachers in educational technology implementation. She taught math in Kohelet Yeshiva High School for one year and then took time off to raise her sons. When not teaching, she is passionate about running and sewing. She lives in Philadelphia with her husband and 2 boys (ages 5 and almost 2)
