Rabbi Avi Berman

Rabbi Avi Berman is passionate about limudei kodesh. He has taught a variety of subjects including Mishnah, Gemara, and Halachah at the Jewish Foundation School of Staten Island. Rabbi Berman received a BA in Judaic Studies from Yeshiva University where he graduated summa cum laude and earned a dual MA/MS in Jewish Studies and Education from the Bernard Revel Graduate School of Jewish Studies and the Azrieli Graduate School of Jewish Education and Administration. Additionally, Rabbi Berman studied at Yeshivat Hakotel for three years where he was a sho'el u'meishiv, learned in Yeshiva University’s Katz Kollel under the auspices of Rabbi Hershel Schachter where he was awarded the Kupperman Fellowship for promising scholars, and received his semicha from RIETS studying under Rabbi Aryeh Lebowitz. Rabbi Berman firmly believes in teaching Torah in a manner that is both real and relevant to the students of today.
