Amanda Israel received her Bachelors of Arts in English with a minor in Jewish Studies from Rutgers University in 2008. From there, she went on to study Jewish Studies and Jewish Education at Tel Aviv University, followed by receiving a dual MA from Gratz College in Jewish Education Administration and Jewish Communal Service (2011). She joins Kohelet Yeshiva with prior experience as the Communications and Logistics Director at Adath Israel on the Main Line (2011-2017), Student Life Coordinator at Kellman Brown Academy, Religious School Educator at Congregation Beth El in Voorhees, NJ, and served as the Student Governing President of Gratz College for two years. Amanda served two years as a board member for Hazon, and was the chairperson for the inaugural and second Hazon Philadelphia Jewish Food Festivals in 2013 and 2014. Amanda has also been a licensed Zumba instructor since 2012 and continues to teach women’s-only classes in the community.
