High School Limudei Kodesh Teacher 2024-2025
Kohelet Yeshiva High School seeks a warm, dynamic, and inspirational Limudei Kodesh teacher for the 2024-2025 school year. Our new Limudei Kodesh staff member will be part of a growth-oriented team of mechanchim and mechanchot committed to instilling both the skills for successful Torah learning and a desire for Torah living in each and every one of their students.
Responsibilities
Candidates should be excited about the possibility of inspiring students while exploring the richness of Torah. Our educators teach students in a variety of different levels, in moderately sized (average around 15), single gender Limudei Kodesh classes (Gemara, Tanach, or Halacha). Additionally, our Limudei Kodesh staff members serve as a religious guidance counselor for a small number of students each year. Teachers are encouraged to participate in school-wide special events, shabbatonim, and programs outside of the regular school day.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will have a graduate degree in Judaic Studies and/or Semicha and a demonstrated track record teaching Limudei Kodesh in a high school setting. The candidate should be able to understand and reach Modern Orthodox adolescents and should conduct themselves in a manner that models a sophisticated, integrated, and inspired Torah life. In addition, the candidate should possess a collaborative growth mindset and the aspiration to continuously improve in all aspects of their role.

Beit Midrash Coordinator Responsibilities
The main role of this position is to infuse additional excitement, inspiration and vibrancy around high-level Torah learning into our school. Our new Beit Midrash Coordinator will have the ability to bring our school’s Torah learning to the next level by teaching the Beit Midrash Gemara track, working with students to write our annual Torah journal, and run Torah programs such as Mishmar and Hands-on-Halacha. This person should be excited to explore other initiatives in conjunction with the administration and implement them in school.

Full-Time Substitute Teacher 2024-2025
Kohelet Yeshiva Lab and Middle School, an educationally progressive, K-8 Modern Orthodox Jewish Day School located in Merion Station, Pennsylvania, seeks a responsible and flexible educator for the position of Substitute Teacher for the 2024-2025 school year. The Substitute Teacher position is envisioned as a full-day position, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, filling in for absent faculty and acting as an extra teacher for a K-8 learning environment.
The successful candidate will have an undergraduate degree in a related field and experience working with children in a formal or informal educational setting. The candidate will feel comfortable supervising K-8 students and implementing lesson plans left by absent teachers. He or she will have a record of exemplary work ethic and job performance in prior positions and will model the values that are central to the school’s mission.

K-12 School Nurse, Full Time 2024-2025
The School
Kohelet Yeshiva is a warm, vibrant, and growing Modern Orthodox K-12 yeshiva day school in suburban Philadelphia.
Position
Reporting to the school principals, the school nurse is a full-time, 10.5 month position with the hours of 8:00 am - 5:00 pm on school days, except for Fridays when dismissal is earlier. The Nurse will serve as the primary medical resource to the school throughout the school day, helping support the assessment, evaluation and management of illness and basic injuries.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Providing comprehensive health assessments to students and community members (faculty/staff) on campus, and assisting with their individual health plans as needed.
- Acting as a liaison with physicians, school faculty, students, athletes, coaching staff, parents/guardians, and other allied health professionals on the status of student well-being and return to campus protocols.
- Channeling any mental health concerns to the appropriate division counselor and partnering with them as appropriate.
- Keeping the appropriate administrators and their teams apprised of any serious health concerns or issues with students in their division.
- Providing access to over-the-counter medication for students in accordance with their parent/guardian, applicable school policy, and legal guidelines.
- Maintaining and distributing scheduled prescription medications to students per physician orders.
- Maintaining appropriate medical records of vaccinations, illnesses, injuries, treatment plans, and progress.
- Counseling the community on proactive steps to enhance health and wellness.
- Informing faculty, staff, and students of proper medical procedures and policies as they relate to school wellness, learning and activities.
- Assisting in the control and prevention of communicable disease by coordinating with community public health agencies and providing information to staff, students, and parents about preventative and protective measures against communicable diseases.
- Assisting in planning for emergency care for illness or injury of students/staff on school premises, including development of emergency care plans for students with life threatening conditions.
Qualifications
- Applicants must have proficient knowledge of pediatric nursing care and a minimum of 3 years of experience as a school nurse.
- This position requires either an associate's or bachelor's degree in nursing.
- Candidates must be licensed as a registered nurse (RN) and be CPR (BLS) certified.
- Certification through either the State Department of Education or Department of Health is required.
