Morah Mara was raised in Philadelphia and is a graduate of Akiba Hebrew Academy. Morah Mara earned two bachelor’s degrees from Columbia University and its joint program with JTS. She later continued her Jewish education as a Drisha Arts Fellow and earned a master’s from Pace University. While living on the Upper West Side in NYC, Morah Mara created a dance program for preschool children called Wiggling Bookworms that used movement to teach stories and themes. Before coming to Kohelet, Morah Mara taught in Manhattan Day School’s preschool, and she looks forward to integrating her passion for Dance, Art and Judaic Studies with Reading, Writing, Math and Science at KYLS.
