We believe that a well-rounded student should have the opportunity to explore his or her personal interests in depth and with proper supervision and encouragement, and we are pleased to offer sports, clubs, and Exploratory in order to help further that goal.

Exploratory: 11:00-11:30

• Makerspace: Twice a week students can choose to engage their passion for creation and art in the Fab Lab. This is in addition to their regular art class.
• Newspaper: Twice a week students can choose to help create a regular middle school newspaper publication.
• Gym: Every day the gym is available for students to play sports with their classmates. This is in addition to their regular gym class.

Sports After School

• MS Soccer (6-8): Students participate in practices and outdoor soccer games against other local schools.
• MS Basketball (6-8): Begins in December

Clubs on Tuesdays After School

• Penn Coding (6-8): This free after-school program is where students learn how to code and join a group of supportive peers and role models. It gives students a safe and supportive environment to learn the concepts of loops, variables, conditionals, and functions that form the basis for all programming languages. The club is led by computer science students from Penn Engineering, University of Pennsylvania.

Clubs on Wednesdays After School

• Girls Running (6-8): Running is an after-school program designed to inspire girls of all abilities to recognize and embrace their inner strength. Lessons emphasize the important connection between physical and emotional health. Students will be building up their running stamina and, at the end of the program, will complete a 5K, which provides a tangible sense of accomplishment, setting a confident and goal-oriented mindset into motion.
• MS Art (6-8): The after-school art club gives students a chance for more in depth focus on their area of interest. We will dedicate ourselves to an exploration of materials and techniques to create fulfilling art projects. Students will work with both artistic prompts and self-directed assignments.

Clubs on Thursdays After School

• Mishmar (6-8): Join other Middle Schoolers for a pizza dinner and a fun-filled Torah learning experience each Thursday.
